Windform composite materials will headline CRP Technology’s presence at Drone X Expo 2025 (ExCeL London, September 30 – October 1, booth DX106).

Visitors will discover a range of UAV parts manufactured in Windform Carbon- and Glass-fiber reinforced thermoplastics via Selective Laser Sintering. Examples include lightweight modular arms, aerodynamic housings, and multifunctional elements that combine structural strength with electronic integration.

Thanks to their outstanding thermal and mechanical characteristics, Windform composites allow weight savings of up to 30% while ensuring durability and functional reliability. Numerous UAV components produced in Windform are already part of flying platforms, confirming their effectiveness in the field.

Beyond drones, Windform materials have also demonstrated space-grade performance: they have been adopted in satellite subsystems and deployers, validated by major space agencies through strict outgassing assessments and Vacuum Ultraviolet (VUV) exposure testing.

At Drone X Expo, visitors will see how Windform parts benefit not only from the precision of Selective Laser Sintering, but also from advanced post-processing such as vapor smoothing, which enhances surface quality and aerodynamic efficiency.
Combined with CRP Group’s hybrid approach, including CRP Meccanica’s CNC machining, this ensures UAV components that are lightweight, robust, and ready for demanding missions.

Attendees of Drone X Expo 2025 are welcome to visit booth DX106 and learn how Windform composites are empowering UAV innovation and enabling future space-ready designs.

Don’t miss Alex Giugni, Head of Sales – Modena Plant at CRP Technology, at the Future of Flight Theatre, 1 October, 2:45–3:15 PM, with the talk “Advanced Additive Thinking: UAV Structures from Civil to Tactical”.
