Technical specifications

Windform® SP is a carbon fiber reinforced composite polyamide material characterized by a dark black color.

The material has excellent mechanical properties similar to Windform® XT 2.0, with the addition of increased resistance to shock, vibrations and deformation. It also shows increases in impact strength and elongation at break, as well as excellent thermal properties and resistance to high temperatures.

Windform® SP is a SLS material with optimal mechanical properties per density units.
It has waterproof properties, and it is resistant to absorption of liquids and moisture.

Windform® SP has been rated HB according to the flammability UL 94 test, and it has passed outgassing tests carried out at NASA.

It is skin contact approved.

Applications

Windform® SP is the suitable material for end use components in the most demanding industry, such as Motorsports, Automotive (for under the hood components, e.g. intake manifolds) and Aerospace (components for UAV and UAS).

These applications indicated are just examples. The versatility of the product combined with the technology used, allows for near endless possibilities.
