Technical specifications

Windform® RS is the tenth material of the Windform® TOP-LINE range, created and developed by CRP Technology.

Windform® RS is a Black, polyamide-based SLS composite material that is Carbon fiber reinforced.

Windform® RS has excellent mechanical characteristics: it has a very high tensile strength (85,25 Mpa) and at the same time has excellent ductility (Elongation @ break 9.46%) and low density (1,10 g/cc).

It is resistant to damage, shock, vibrations, deformations and high temperatures. The combination of high resistance and high resilience makes Windform® RS unique in the AM world.

The high resilience/strength properties allow it to withstand shocks at various ranges of temperature, even sub-zero (it has been successfully tested to -40 °C, -40 °F). In addition, it is resistant to water and liquid absorption down to just 1 millimeter part thickness.

Windform® RS has been rated HB according to the flammability UL 94 test.

Windform RS has passed ESA standard screening outgassing tests for space-flight applications and it is skin contact approved.

Applications

Delivering the strongest but ductile Carbon filled composite,  Windform® RS let manufacturers realize ruggedized Powder Bed Fusion parts for the most challenging applications.

Windform® RS promises maximum tensile strength, higher elongation at break and water resistance from 1 mm letting designers create durable components, small series and limited editions with confidence and an eye ahead.
From Automotive to Aerospace, a variety of sectors will benefit from Windform® RS: tough, heavy-duty applications withstanding the most harsh environments; accurate, reliable, durable functional prototypes; end use and mission-critical components for the most demanding industries.

Windform® RS addresses applications where durability, ductility  and resistance are a must.
